Detailed Itinerary of our 14 Days Explore Rwanda Adventure Safari.
Day 1: ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your driver guide who will provide a brief overview before transferring you to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: FULL DAY KIGALI CITY TOUR
Embark on a comprehensive tour of Kigali starting at 9:00 am. Explore the city’s highlights, including Nyamirambo, local markets, and the poignant Kigali Genocide Memorial Ground. Conclude the day with a visit to the Kimironko local market.
Day 3: TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NP – MUSANZE
After breakfast, depart for Kinigi-Musanze, stopping en route to visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of Diane Fossey. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your accommodation in preparation for the next day’s trekking.
Day 4: GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE IN THE VOLCANOES NP
Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Embark on an adventure into the jungle to observe the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
Day 5: GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING IN VOLCANOES NP
Set out early for golden monkey trekking at the park’s headquarters in Kinigi. Spend the day searching for these fascinating primates before returning to your lodge for leisure time.
Days 6: TRANSFER TO GISENYI WITH EN ROUTE TOURS
Check out of your lodge after breakfast and drive to Gisenyi, making stops along the way to visit sites such as Imbabazi Roz Carr House and Pfunda Tea Estate. Enjoy a tea experience before continuing to Gisenyi for overnight stay.
Days 7: TRANSFER TO KINUNU FOR COFFEE TOUR
After breakfast, drive to Kinunu for a hands-on coffee experience. Visit a coffee farm, participate in coffee blending, and savor organic coffee before returning to your lodge for leisure time.
