Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional guide, who will provide a short briefing about your upcoming journey and the experiences planned throughout your trip. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight at your booked accommodation. During the drive to the hotel, you will enjoy a brief introduction to the city life, local surroundings, and atmosphere of Entebbe, offering you your first impressions of Uganda before you settle in and prepare for the next day’s activities.
In the morning, after enjoying your delightful breakfast at 7:00 am, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s most popular national parks. Along the way, you will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an on foot rhino tracking experience, giving you the opportunity to see rhinos in their natural habitat. Afterward, you will proceed to the park, where you may start spotting wildlife as you head to your lodge. You will spend the evening relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
Begin the day with a cup of African coffee before heading out for an early morning game drive. Your guide will help you spot wildlife such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, reedbucks, hyenas, and possibly a leopard. Lunch will be served during the day. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, where you will see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and many bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
In the morning, you will set off on a relaxed drive through the verdant countryside towards Kibale Forest National Park, enjoying the scenic landscapes, local villages, and rolling hills along the way. There will be en route stops for sightseeing, including distant views of the Rift Valley escarpment and surrounding tea plantations. The journey offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the rural beauty of western Uganda. You will arrive at Kibale Forest National Park in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at your booked lodge.
In the morning, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. During the trek, you may also encounter other primates such as vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys, among others. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided swamp walk, where you can enjoy primate sightings and bird viewing. The walk takes approximately two hours. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
In the morning, you will set off on a spectacular drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through beautiful countryside, rolling hills, and local villages along the way. You will have an en route lunch and make a stop at the Equator sign for photographs and a brief experience standing in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Afterward, you will continue your journey to Bwindi National Park, arriving in the late afternoon. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge, relax, and prepare for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Begin the day with breakfast before heading for gorilla trekking, which starts at 8:00 am with a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority staff. Please carry a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and good walking shoes. The guides will lead you into the forest to track the mountain gorillas assigned to your group. Remember to take your packed lunch and necessary trekking gear. The tracking can take between two and six hours but is a truly unforgettable experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a community walk near the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After your morning breakfast, you will embark on your return journey to Entebbe by road, with lunch en route. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport in time for your evening flight back home. To avoid the long 10 hour road transfer, you may alternatively depart via Kigali, which is approximately a 5 hour drive from Bwindi, or take a domestic flight from Bwindi to Entebbe, which is a faster and more comfortable option.
