Day by Day
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport and completion of immigration formalities, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari driver guide. After a brief introduction and overview of your upcoming journey, you will be comfortably transferred in a private vehicle to your pre booked accommodation. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will proceed with check in and enjoy a relaxed dinner. The remainder of the evening is at leisure, allowing you to unwind and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead.
After breakfast at your lodge, you will begin a guided Kigali city tour, including a visit to a vibrant local market and the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where over 250,000 victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi are respectfully laid to rest. The memorial offers powerful exhibitions, video testimonies, and audio guides that provide meaningful historical insight. Following lunch in Kigali, you will embark on a scenic drive to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park, arriving in time for dinner and overnight at your booked lodge.
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a comprehensive gorilla trekking briefing. Accompanied by experienced rangers and carrying your packed lunch, you will then enter the forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing their social interactions and capturing photographs. A reasonable level of fitness is required. After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation before an afternoon cultural visit, followed by dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, you will return to the park headquarters for a briefing ahead of your golden monkey trekking experience. Accompanied by expert guides, you will venture into the forest to track these lively and endangered primates within their natural habitat. Following this rewarding encounter, you will return to the lodge for lunch. Thereafter, you will be transferred back to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be dropped at Kigali International Airport in time for your departure flight. This marks the end of your safari services.
