Day by Day
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport and completion of immigration formalities, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari driver guide. After a short briefing, proceed for a Kigali city tour, including a meaningful visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where over 250,000 victims are laid to rest. The experience offers deep historical insight through audio and visual exhibits. Thereafter, enjoy lunch before transferring to Musanze, approximately a two hour scenic drive. Check in at your lodge, renowned for its beautiful views, followed by dinner and overnight stay.
Begin your day with an early morning coffee before transferring to the park headquarters for a detailed gorilla trekking briefing. Accompanied by experienced trackers and carrying your packed lunch, you will enter the forest in search of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Once located, enjoy one unforgettable hour observing and photographing their interactions. A moderate level of fitness is required. The trek may last half or a full day. Return to your lodge for lunch, relax at leisure, then enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, your safari driver guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing ahead of your second gorilla trek. Similar to the previous experience, you will venture into the forest to track a different gorilla family, offering a unique perspective on their behavior and group dynamics. After spending an hour with the gorillas, return for lunch before driving back to Kigali. If time permits, enjoy a brief city visit before a late dinner, then transfer to the airport for your midnight departure. End of service.
