Located in the northwestern region of Uganda along the shores of Lake Albert, the park is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, diverse wildlife, and the dramatic power of the Murchison Falls National park, where the mighty Victoria Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge before plunging down a spectacular drop. This remarkable destination is home to an impressive variety of wildlife and is known for hosting four of Africa’s famous Big Five species. During your safari, you will have excellent opportunities to encounter elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, antelopes, and many other mammals roaming across the vast savannah landscapes. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers, with more than 450 recorded bird species, including the rare and fascinating shoebill stork. One of the highlights of this adventure is the unforgettable boat safari along the Nile River. This scenic cruise takes you upstream toward the base of the magnificent falls, offering exceptional views of wildlife gathering along the riverbanks. Hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and numerous bird species can often be observed at close range. At the end of the boat ride, you will enjoy a guided hike to the top of the falls, where you can witness the extraordinary power and beauty of the Nile as it explodes through the narrow gorge. Day by Day

Day 1
Drive to Murchison (Travel Time +5 hrs)

You will be picked up from your hotel and begin the scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park along the way, you will stop at the famous Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot, offering a rare opportunity to observe these impressive animals in their natural habitat. After the activity, you will continue to Masindi for an en route lunch. Following lunch, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park through the Kichwabanyobo Gate. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, relax, enjoy dinner, and overnight at the booked lodge.

Day 2
Game Drive & Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls NP

Today you will set out early for a morning game drive to observe the park’s wildlife during their most active hours. This is an excellent opportunity to spot elephants, hartebeests, jackals, lions, leopards, and many other species as they begin their day in the savannah. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the River Nile where you will view a variety of aquatic animals and other wildlife, including crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, elephants, and monitor lizards. The cruise continues to the base of the falls, followed by a guided hike to the top of Murchison Falls to witness the spectacular sight of the Nile squeezing through a narrow gorge before plunging down with tremendous force. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3
Return to Kampala (Travel Time +5 hrs)

After an early morning breakfast, you will head for a brief early morning game drive to add on your animal list and later return to the lodge, checkout and drive back to Kampala with an en-route lunch in Masindi reaching Kampala in the late afternoon, and dropped off at your hotel or airport in Entebbe.
