This 7 days Luxury Great Rift Valley and Big Five Safari tour includes Nairobi, known as the “Green City in the Sun,” as well as Lakes Elmenteita and Nakuru, two of the seven Great Rift Valley Lakes in Kenya. It features game drives at Lake Nakuru National Park, a designated RAMSAR site ranked number 2 in National Geographic’s 10 most colorful scenes. The tour also covers the Masai Mara National Reserve, considered the pinnacle of Africa’s game-viewing experiences and one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Accommodations are provided in some of Kenya’s most stylish and luxurious hotels.

Day by Day

Day 1
Arrival in Nairobi

Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Take this day to rest and acclimate after your flight. Nairobi, the capital city, is a bustling metropolis known for its rich history and vibrant culture. In the evening, you might explore the local markets or enjoy a traditional Kenyan meal.

Day 2
Transfer Nairobi – Lake Elementeita

After breakfast, you will depart Nairobi and embark on a scenic drive to Lake Elmenteita, located in the Great Rift Valley. This lake is renowned for its stunning scenery and abundant birdlife. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps taking a stroll along the lake’s shore or enjoying the serene environment.

Day 3
Lake Nakuru National Park

Today, you will visit Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flamingos, rhinos, and diverse wildlife. The park is a sanctuary for white and black rhinos and offers a chance to see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Enjoy a full day of game drives, soaking in the beautiful landscapes and spotting various animals.

Day 4
Transfer Elementeita – Masai Mara

After breakfast, you will transfer to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Known for its stunning vistas and abundant wildlife, the Masai Mara is one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and prepare for an exciting adventure in the days ahead.

Day 5-6
Game drives in Masai Mara

Spend the next two days exploring the Masai Mara on thrilling game drives. This reserve is home to the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos—as well as countless other species. If your visit coincides with the Great Migration, you’ll witness one of the most spectacular wildlife events on earth, as millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the plains in search of greener pastures.

Day 7
Transfer back to Nairobi for departure flight

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before being transferred back to Nairobi. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time to explore more of the city or do some last-minute shopping. Finally, you will be taken to the airport for your departure flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Kenyan adventure.
