Day by Day

Day 1
Transfer from Nairobi to Ol Pejeta

Begin your safari adventure with a morning departure from Nairobi. After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. This scenic drive takes you through the central highlands of Kenya, offering picturesque views of the countryside. Upon arrival at Ol Pejeta, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, exploring the conservancy’s diverse wildlife, including the Big Five, and learning about its successful rhino conservation efforts. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Game drive through Ol Pejeta, then transfer to Samburu

After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Discover more of the conservancy’s rich biodiversity, from lions and elephants to the endangered black rhino. Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where these primates can be seen. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and check out. Depart for Samburu National Reserve, a journey that takes you north across the equator and into the arid landscapes of Samburu. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and unwind. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Samburu.

Day 3
Full day game in Samburu

Spend the entire day exploring the unique landscapes and wildlife of Samburu National Reserve. Renowned for its rare and endemic species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich, Samburu offers a distinctive safari experience. Embark on morning and afternoon game drives, taking in the striking scenery of open savannahs, rugged hills, and the Ewaso Nyiro River, which attracts a variety of wildlife. Between game drives, relax at your lodge and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. All meals and an overnight stay will be at your lodge in Samburu.

Day 4
Transfer back to Nairobi from Samburu

After breakfast, check out and embark on a final game drive as you make your way out of Samburu National Reserve. Enjoy the scenic drive back to Nairobi, where you will be transferred to your hotel or directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your memorable safari adventure, having explored some of Kenya’s most diverse and unique wildlife habitats.
