About the Lodge

Para Safari Lodge is an amazing 5-star facility straddling the banks of the Victoria Nile as it makes its way downstream from The Majestic Murchison Falls into Lake Albert. It was established in 1954 and is managed by Marasa Africa, offering an exclusive, unique blend of comfort, adventure, and relaxation. Its classy safari décor and design create an unforgettable ambiance in one of Africa’s finest savannah destinations. The lodge has a great history of providing the best accommodation for travelers who seek adventure in Africa and has, over time, hosted several clients, including the early explorers like Sir Samuel Baker.

Location

Para Safari lodge is located in Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest conservation area, situated in the northern part of the country. By road, it takes approximately +/- 6hours and 1h:30 hour to the Pakuba airstrip. Scheduled or charter flights can be arranged from Entebbe International Airport or Kampala Kajjansi.

The luxury facility boasts 57 guest rooms and is larger compared to most of the safari lodges at the destination. These include 36 standard rooms, 15 deluxe rooms, 2 suites, 3 safari tents, and 1 cottage. Standard rooms can be arranged as singles, doubles, or twins. These have great sites of swimming pools and great views of the Nile.
