About the Lodge
Bird Nest Bunyonyi straddles along the banks of Lake Bunyonyi being the first lodge to be built in the region, over 40 years ago, Frances Kalemera sighted the beauty of lake Bunyonyi and decided it would be his home, but even then with the construction going on travelers requested to stay here, it has since then despite the challenges offered guests luxury accommodation to the region and became the spark of tourism in the Lake Bunyonyi area, the lodge was refurbished into fourteen roomed building offering a relaxed beautiful Serene environment to travelers, the lodge excels in exotic Belgian cuisine.
Location
The luxury lodge is located along Lake Bunyonyi in western Uganda, in Kabale district. It takes approximately 8 8-hour drives to the Lodge. Visitors who do not wish to drive can take a flight from Entebbe International Airport to the Mbarara Airstrip, after which they transfer for a short drive to Kabale.
Rooms
Bird Nest Bunyonyi comprises 14 intimate luxury rooms fully designed overlooking the stunning views of Lake Bunyonyi. Within these is a family room that offers a comfortable stay for guests with children or groups that would like to stay together. Each of the rooms features an ensuite bathroom running both hot and cold water, a flush toilet, complimentary toiletries, and DSTV available.
