Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge

Ichumbi gorilla Lodge is an intimate safari Lodge situated in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National park, the conservation area is one of the most sought after national parks of the country home to the critically endangered mountain gorilla species, the facility offers a comfortable place to stay in 9 rooms during a gorilla trekking experience, these have been designed perfectly to match the environment within which they are placed, the main Lodge area features a restaurant serving mouth dropping meals to travelers and assorted drinks including local and international beers, wines, spirits, curio shop and a fire place.

Location

Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge is in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It can be accessed by road or by air. From Entebbe, it takes approximately 8 hours by road, while flights to the Kisoro airstrip take around 1.5 hours. After a ground transfer to the Lodge of 2-3 hours, it is strategically placed just 10 10-minute walk from the gorilla trekking point.

Rooms

The midrange facility is comprised of 9 beautiful rooms, each of which have been designed to cater for the guest comfort while fitting within the environment it has been placed, all cottages feature an ensuite bathroom running both hot and cold water, balcony commanding views of the forest, large double beds, all rooms are categorized into single, double/twin room, triple room and family cottages.
