Hotel Des’ Mille Collines

The Midrange facility is an intimate hotel famous for the film “Hotel Rwanda” that has hosted travelers since 1973, and offered shelter to over 2000 people during the 1994 Rwanda genocide, the hotel act of kindness saved several of the people of Rwanda, it is strategically located in the central city center of Kigali and within proximity to the Kigali International Airport, it is perfect to begin or end your trip in the land of a thousand hills with incredible views of the rolling hills, the hotel is famous for promoting and supporting locals through employment and purchasing local produce. The display of the hotel’s art depicts the typical Rwandan Style.

The Hotel is located in the heart of Rwanda, about a 30-minute drive from the Kigali International Airport.

Hotel des Mille Collines has 112 rooms, these are arranged from the classic room, garden view and panoramic views to spacious suites, all rooms feature comfortable beds, complimentary toiletries, a desk, airconditioned, tea and coffee making facilities, cable TV, the classic rooms tend to be smaller than the superior suites and these have a spacious seating room, dining area separate to the bedroom.
