The lake is the 6^th largest lake in Africa, in the western province of Rwanda, and was formed because of volcanic activity tucked along the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. Location

The luxury facility is located along Lake Kivu in the southwestern part of Rwanda, approximately 130 kilometers from the Kigali International Airport and a few kilometers from the city of Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Cleo Lake Kivu features 18 guest rooms, angelically decorated with air-conditioned, flush toilets, ensuite showers running both hot and cold water mosquito nets, flat screen television, fire extinguishers, complimentary bottled water, toiletries and all rooms overlook the Lake Kivu, forest and surrounding area,  there are 3 categories of rooms arranged in king suites, apartments, villas within the villas a 2 presidential cottages.
