Mbali Mbali Gombe lodge which is also known as Gombe forest lodge is an intimate mid-range scaled Accommodation in Gombe Stream National Park, situated in the lush shade of ancient forest trees just off the shores of Lake Tanganyika with magnificent views of the deep blue waters of the lake and orange-red sunsets outlining the Congo Mountains to the west. The lodge has 7 Forest tents with a combination of twin or double room configurations, it may be a small lodge but it offers complete privacy by catering for just 14 guests at a time. These 7 Forest tents are set on wooden platforms beneath mango groves on the lakeshore, elegantly furnished for visitors to have every comfort while minimizing disturbance and impact on the stunning environment, the tents are also named after the chimpanzees who are familiar to the researchers from the Jane Goodall Institute, and each tent has an ensuite bathroom and furnished private balcony.
There is a lounge/dining area built on a raised wooden deck with a large raised porch in front, furnished with sofas and African antiques, sun loungers, and umbrellas on the beach, jetty to the lake, fishing, swimming in a lake, snorkeling, chimpanzee trekking and boat safaris. Dining can be indoor or on the beach. All ages welcome however the minimum participating age for chimpanzee trekking as determined by Tanzania National Parks regulations is 15 years old.
