Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: ARRIVAL ENTEBBE AIRPORT – KAMPALA TRAVEL TIME +1HR
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will brief you shortly, before transferring you to Kampala, for dinner and overnight to your booked accommodation, with a brief city life encounter as you drive to your hotel at Latitude 0 (Luxury) or Arcadia lodge (Mid – range) or Forest cottages (Standard). Meal Plan: Dinner.
Day 2: KAMPALA-MURCHISON FALLS. TRAVEL TIME +5HRS
In the morning, after having your delightful breakfast at 7 am, you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National park, one of Uganda most visited National park, which will give you an opportunity to sight the Big 5 with en route stop at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for an on foot Rhino tracking experience. You will then proceed to enter the park and you will be welcome by the sighting of some wildlife along the way, as you head to your lodge. You will spend the evening relaxing at your lodge. Overnight and dinner at the overnight at Para Safari Lodge (Luxury) or Pakuba Safari lodge (mid – range) or Heritage Safari lodge (Standard). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner.
Day 3: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE AT MURCHISON FALLS NP
Begin the day with a cup of African Coffee ready for an early morning game drive. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Lunch will be served in the course of the day. In the afternoon you make a boat trip along the Nile River, towards the Murchison Falls. Carefully watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, apes and all the other thirsty wildlife that the Nile attracts you go to the bottom of the 43 meters high and famous Murchison Falls, which approaches you with a thunderous sound as narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. Overnight and dinner at Para Safari Lodge (Luxury) or Pakuba Safari lodge (mid – range) or Heritage Safari lodge (Standard). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner.
Day 4: MURCHISON FALLS – KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK. TRAVEL TIME +5HRS
In the morning, you will set off a relaxed drive through the verdant countryside to Kibale Forest NP with en route stops for sightseeing including the distant views of the rift valley escarpment. You will reach Kibale Forest NP in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing at the lodge as you await overnight and dinner at the Kyaninga lodge (luxury) or Turaco Tree top lodge (Mid-range lodge) or Chimpanzee Forest Guest House (Standard). Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Day 5: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND BIGODI NATURE WALK
In the morning, you will set off to the park headquarters for briefing before going for Chimpanzee tracking, where you may encounter other primates like Vervet Monkeys, Blue Hoest Monkeys, Black and white colobus Monkeys among others. Return to the lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon; go for a nature walk to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary for swamp walk, primate and bird viewing, the walk can take roughly 2 hours. Dinner and Overnight at the Turaco Tree top lodge (Mid-range lodge). Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Day 6: TRANSFER TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK. TRAVEL TIME +6HRS
In the morning, you will set off a spectacular drive to Bwindi national park with an en route lunch. You will proceed to Bwindi NP for dinner and overnight at Buhoma lodge (luxury) or Ichumbi Gorilla lodge (Midrange lodge) or Broadbill Forest Camp (standard).Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 7: GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE.
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma lodge (luxury) or Ichumbi Gorilla lodge (Midrange lodge) or Broadbill Forest Camp (standard).Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 8: BWINDI – ENTEBBE TRAVEL TIME +8HRS
Have morning breakfast, before you jump on to your jeep, to return to Kampala, then Entebbe, with lunch en route and stop over at the Equator for an Amazing equator experience and photography, before your transferred to Entebbe airport to catch up with your evening flight back home, exchange hugs, and say bye bye to the Pearl of Africa, till we meet again, and look forward for your recommendation to families and friends.
