Day 1: AIRPORT TRANSFER TO HOTEL
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will go through custom and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to the Land of a thousand hills that Rwanda is know of, an later drive to your booked hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Quiet Have Hotel
Day 2: TRANSFER TO MUSANZE
Today after taking your early morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and drive to visit Kigali genocide memorial grounds, which honors the memory of the more than one million Rwandans killed in 1994 through education and peace-building. You will be able to watch and listen to some video clips from some of the survivors’ of the incident. Later you will proceed with a drive to Musanze through the magnificent route to your booked accommodation. The Volcanoes National Park is part of the Virunga Conservation Area and covers more than 125 km². It is home of 5 Virunga volcanoes: Sabyinyo (3.674 m), Gahinga (3.474 m), Bisoke (3711 m), Muhabura (4.127 m), and the Karisimbi, the highest volcano with an altitude of 4.507 m. All five volcanoes are extinct; the active ones are located in Congo. Two of them erupted recently; the Nyiragongo erupted in January 2002 and Nyamulangira in July 2002. You can track gorillas, climb the Bisoke volcano, track the golden monkeys or hike and visit the Karisoke Research Centre which Dian Fossey the famous primatologist set up, or visit local villages. Day 3: HIKING MOUNT MUHABURA
Today, you will be driven to the park headquarter at Kinigi at 7:00 am upon having your breakfast for briefing and you will later head off for hiking. The hike will typically take a full day from 6 to 8 hours depending on your hiking experience. You will head off with you packed lunch. You need to be in good shape, however the hiking is not much strenuous as other mountains, though challenging as well. On the summit, you will be able to see the Crater Lake which is on the top of the Muhabura Mountain. (4,127m).You will later descend and drive back to Kigali. Dinner and overnight at Quiet Haven Hotel. Meal Plan: Full board.
Day 4: TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT FOR YOUR FLIGHT.
Today after your morning breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and head to the Kigali Airport to catch up with your flight. End of service!
