Day 1: TRANSFER FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL
Upon arrival at Kigali international airport and passing through the immigration process, you will be welcomed by our safari driver who will, brief you shortly and transfer you to the booked accommodation for dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel Kigali (Luxury) or Hotel des Milles Collies (Mid – range) or Quiet Haven Hotel (Standard). Day 2: TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK. TRAVEL TIME +2HRS
Today you will be picked at your lodge after completing your morning breakfast and head for a city tour to visit the local market and Kigali genocide memorial ground, were over 250000 victims of the Rwandan genocide, were laid in a mass grave yard as respect to their souls. There are video clips to watch and audio guide as well. You will later have lunch before being transferred to Musanze near Volcanoes National Park, with a beautiful en route drive where you will your dinner and overnight stay. If time permits, visit the Diane Fossey institute to learn more about her story and struggle in relation to gorilla conservation. Dinner and overnight stay at Five Volcanoes Boutique Lodge (Luxury) or Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge (Mid – range) or La Palme Hotel (Standard). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 3: GORILLA TREKKING & TRANSFER TO KIGALI. TRAVEL TIME +2HRS
Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the gorilla trekking briefing from the park headquarters and thereafter, you will be briefed before you enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sun screen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience you will return to your lodge for lunch before hitting on the road to find our way back to Kigali, and if time permits, do a brief city tour with a visit to the local markets, art galleries for some shopping before driving to your hotel at Serena Hotel Kigali (Luxury) or Hotel des Milles Collies (Mid – range) or Quiet Haven Hotel (Standard). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 4: TRANSFERRED TO AIRPORT.
After having your morning breakfast, depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport to catch up with your flight. End of service!
