Day 1: FLY FROM NAIROBI TO SIBILOI NATIONAL PARK
Today you will be picked from your hotel in the morning after breakfast, you will be driven to the airport to take your flight to the airstrip in the Park, upon arrival you will go for a game drive within the park to explore the wildlife that survives in this semi-desert area, enjoy watching the beautiful sand dunes and visit different archeological sites in the park, return for lunch at booked accommodation on the lake shores and in the afternoon you will go for a tour in the Koobi Fora museum where you will discover findings from different archeological sites including the Australopithecus anamensis, skull of the Homo habilis/rudolfensis dating two million years ago, the skull of the Paranthropus boisei, Homo erectus, and Homo sapiens, molluscan and other fossils rich in mammalian all found within one locality. Dinner and overnight at your booked accommodation.
Day 2: EXPLORING SIBILOI NATIONAL PARK AND RETURN TO NAIROBI
Today Morning after having your breakfast, go for a game drive in the park, lookout for terrestrial animals such as Grevy’s zebras, Grant gazelles, lions, leopards, striped hyenas, Beisa Oryx, greater kudu, cheetahs, caracal and northern topi among others, while on your game drive enjoy beautiful sceneries of sand dunes that go high up to 40 feet, and also visit the oasis in the park with gushing water from hot rocks. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon visit Lake Turkana Island which is a breeding ground for crocodiles, watch the crocodiles and hippos, plus numerous bird species surrounding the lake. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: CULTURAL VISIT AND TRANSFER BACK TO NAIROBI
On this day after having your breakfast, you will take a walk to the surrounding local communities like the Turkana, the Gabra and the Dassanach which have very rich and unpolluted traditional cultures. Get to learn about their cultures while interacting with the local people and after you will return to take your flight back to Nairobi.
