Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: ARRIVAL AT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OF KILIMANJARO (JRO)

At the airport of Kilimanjaro (JRO), you will be warmly greeted and welcomed by your experienced professional driver-guide, after confirming the presence of your entire belongings, will offer you some bottles of mineral water or cold drinks followed by a direct private transfer to your Hotel in Arusha for Leisure, Dinner, and Overnight. This marks the start of the 12 Days Tanzania Safari and Cultural Tour.

Day 2: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK FOR GAME DRIVES.

At 830hrs, embark to Tarangire national park for game drives and game viewings.

Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge. Lunch, Dinner, bed, and Breakfast included.

The Tarangire national park covers an undulating area of 2,850 km², characterized by open woodlands dotted with hundreds of majestic baobab trees, boasting a massive density of wildlife, flora, and fauna species. The park is primarily famous for big herds of Elephants and a surprising number of Wildebeests and Zebras, rapidly scattered throughout the woodlands and beneath the Tarangire River, a river in which the park took its name. Buffaloes, giraffes, fringe-eared Oryx Gazelles, Impala, Mongoose, Hartebeest, Crocodiles, and hippos also claim the sanctuary their home of all times, feeding on shoots, bushes, grasses, acacias, and preys. Lions are also common and sometimes wild dogs, Cheetahs, Hyenas, and Leopard can be spotted. As you drive into different parts of the park in search of incredible, your professional driver-guide will surprise you with his skills in locating and interpreting wildlife and its behaviors. Day 3: TARANGIRE TO MANYARA FOR BIKING TOUR. OVERNIGHT IN L. EYASI

After breakfast, (800hrs) drive to Manyara for an exciting biking tour through the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu to the shore of Lake Manyara where there are stunning vistas of the lake, Rift Valley Wall and some small herds of wildlife like Zebras, Wildebeests, and Gazelles along with variety of birdlife species. Lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. Overnight at Lake Eyasi safari Lodge. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included.

Biking tour offers an amazing opportunity to explore the village with its beautiful sights. The ride takes you through Local farms, visiting Local schools, Milling Machines, Churches and Local bars accompanied by an experienced local guide. Rides are always on fairly flat single tracks. From this tour you will learn many different things from your local guide including the background of the village and its people, processes of making local bear and much more. Local lunch can also be prepared for you at one of the villager’s house.

Another option to biking tour in this vibrant village is biking to the shore of Lake Manyara where there are stunning vistas of the lake, Rift Valley Wall and some small herds of wildlife like Zebras, Wildebeests, and Gazelles along with variety of birdlife species. In the Afternoon, you will be transferred to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge located on the edge of the Africa Great Rift Valley for a hot delicious lunch. Later, you will drive further to Lake Eyasi for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: FULL DAY OF CULTURAL ACTIVITIES WITH HADZABE TRIBE.

This day is genuinely dedicated at exploring, discovering, learning, experiencing and enjoying the African culture of the Hadzabe tribe and their neighbors Datoga. Activities Include; Traditional hunting, nature walk, general historical, socially, traditionally back grounds and many other fun activities. Thereafter, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area. The hadzabe are indigenous ethnic group of people living in central rift valley in Lake Eyasi. They are among very few tribes in Tanzania that still live their primitive life. The Hadzabe are not closely related to any of the tribes in Tanzania but their life style resembles the Bushmen of Kalahari. Hadzabe mostly depend on traditional hunting and wild fruits gathering for their daily living. Their history and traditional ways of life are amazing to learn, explore and experience theoretically and practically. Hadzabe are kind hearted and welcoming people, ready to share their valued history, culture, taboos, traditions and customs. Everything will be naturally locally organized just to give you a genuine feelings and image of the ever lived African ancestors. Have you ever gone on traditional hunting with bows, arrows, spears and clubs accompanied by dogs as your back up army? It sounds fun stalking at agile Dik-dik or setting ambush on African hare, pulling arrow strings at hidden Impala or tracking kudu`s footprints. Every moment with Hadzabe is worth experience. Isn`t amazing walking bush to bush searching for wild fruits and berries while enjoying spectacular landscapes. Despite of learning their history, experiencing their daily lives, embarking on hutting, fruit gathering and nature expeditions, you will also have a chance to learn different uses of plants as food and medicines. Day 5: GAME DRIVE IN NGORONGORO CRATER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Morning game drives and game viewings inside the Ngorongoro crater floor with packed Lunch boxes. Thereafter ascend the crater walls and drive to Serengeti. Overnight at Serengeti Tortlis Tented Camp. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included.

Below the Ngorongoro crater floor, there are lives of amazing wild creatures dramatically carpeting the land in different colors and styles, making the area the most marvelous place on earth to indulge for spectacular game drives and game viewings in search of incredible big cats and the remained endangered black rhinoceros. This 2000 ft. deep intact volcanic caldera was formed after an extensive volcanic eruption. It’s also comprised of two smaller Craters of Olmoti and Empakai perfect destinations for pure nature hiking and walking safaris. Wildebeests, Buffaloes, Hyenas, Waterbucks, Jackals, Elephants, Lions, Zebras, Leopards, Hippos, Baboons, Mongoose and monkeys, Elands and many other wildlife species alongside hundreds of bird species e.g. Ostriches, Starlings, Bustards, Eagles etc. live here and can be spotted during game drives. Days 6 – 7: FULL DAY GAME DRIVES SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

These days will be perfectly organized at your own pace, in each day, you can decide to embark for an early morning game drives and return to the lodge for late breakfast before embarking with packed lunch boxes for a full game drive. Or you can decide embarking for game drive after breakfast then return for hot lunch and finish with evening game drives. Discuss with your guide for better option that suits your interests. Serengeti national park encompasses some of the Africa`s most dramatic scenery and is one of the greatest of the world`s wildlife sanctuaries spreading over 14673sq km. The park obtained its name from a Maasai word Siringiti that means an extended wide plain area. This endless wilderness with spectacular panoramic views provides habitats and coverage for vast array of mammals, birds and reptiles compared to any other parks and game reserves in Africa. Apart from its jaw-dropping endless rolling plains of savannah and woodlands, Serengeti is popular for it`s great wildebeests migration circle and the best destination for big cats safaris.

It is not so uncommon to spot big herds of elephants and groups of Giraffes browsing on acacia trees or pride of Lions setting ambush on buffalo or hyenas feeding on abandoned zebra`s carcass. Day 8: GAME DRIVES IN SERENGETI NP EN ROUTE TO LAKE NATRON

Early in morning after breakfast, leave the camp with your packed lunches for another en route game drives from central Serengeti to Lake Natron through Klein`s gate in the north east of the Serengeti. Overnight at Africa Safari Lake Natron Camp. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included.

Serengeti cannot be entirely explored in a day or three days, its massive plains stretch into different distant horizons offering different incredible experiences day after day. On your en-route game drive to Lake Natron, still, you have a good chance to enjoy the spectacular landscape and varieties of wild animals and birdlife species. As you are driving to the east of the par, a chance to spotting any other animals that you did not spot in your first days is high. Days 9 – 10: FULL DAY NATURE EXCURSIONS IN LAKE NATRON

Lake Natron offer varieties of interesting activities, and these days will be perfectly organized to your preferences. Activities that you can opt to embark on are Nature walking to Ngaresero waterfalls, a walk to the Lake for sightseeing and viewing of the pink flamingos, visiting the Masai village for an authentic cultural tour. Lake Natron is found in the northern part of Tanzania. Nearest towns to Lake Natron are Arusha in Tanzania and Magadi in Kenya. It is the most important breeding site for Lesser Flamingos in the world. East Africa has 1.5-2.5 million Lesser Flamingos, representing three-quarters of the world population and most of them are hatched at Lake Natron. Food is plentiful, nesting sites abound – and above all, the lake is isolated and undisturbed. The lake and its ecosystem provide a source of livelihoods to the local communities and beautiful sceneries to all visitors.

High levels of evaporation have left behind natron (sodium carbonate decahydrate) and trona (sodium sesquicarbonate dehydrate). The alkalinity of the lake can reach a pH of greater than 12. The surrounding bedrock is composed of alkaline, sodium-dominated trachyte lavas that were laid down during the Pleistocene period. The lavas have significant amounts of carbonate but very low calcium and magnesium levels. This has allowed the lake to concentrate into caustic alkaline brine. Walks around the lake and to the streams and waterfalls along the nearby escarpment make for a fantastic adventure off the beaten track. Overnight at Lake Natron Camp. Day 11: LAKE NATRON TO LAKE MANYARA FOR GAME DRIVES

At 800hrs, Leave the camp with your packed lunches, drive to Lake Manyara national park for game drives and game viewing. Overnight at Burudika Manyara Lodge. Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast Included.

Lake Manyara national park is a small beautiful wildlife sanctuary nestling at the base of the African Great Rift Valley. The park covers an area of 325 km 2 whereby its large portion of its land is dominated by an alkaline lake which serve as; a feeding ground for large flocks of flamingos and many aquatic birds. The park is multihabitat, ranging from acacia woodlands, rocky escarpments, and grassy floodplains, both providing beautiful sceneries, and atmosphere. The park is a corridor for the great migration of large herds of mammals. And the narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favorite playground of Manyara`s fabulous tree-climbing lions. On your game drives, you shall also see groups of Elephants and giraffes feeding on Acacia’s twigs, Hippopotamus enjoying bathe in their pools or troops of baboons grooming and harassing each other, Zebras, in conjunction with wildebeests grazing on short grasses accompanied by egrets and hornbills that benefit from aggressive disturbed insects. Blue monkeys, buffaloes, and many other antelopes roam in this sanctuary too. Lake Manyara also supports a wide array of birdlife species such as barbets, ibis, heron, spoonbill, weavers, and many other numberings to 400 species. Day 12: AIRPORT DROP OFF FOR YOUR FLIGHT BACK HOME.
