About the camp
Magashi Camp is an intimate luxurious Lodge in the wilderness of Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only Savannah park, it used to be home to a variety of cats and their prey however animal population gradually reduced due to the 1994 war, however recently the numbers have been higher thanks to the continued conservation policies, the luxury facility is one of its kind everything about it is thrilling and adventurous as you watch elephants submerge themselves into the lakes waters to catch and release fishing activities under the sight of large numbers of sitatunga, it is a perfect blend of nature.
Location
Magashi Camp is in Akagera National Park, about a 2-3-hour drive from Kigali International Airport. It can also be accessed by flights that can be arranged through Akagera Aviation.
Rooms
The luxury rooms are aligned along the shores of Lake Rwanyakazinga, the six spacious tented suites are heavily welcoming you to sink into the African wilderness, overlooking the serene environment inside the tents are comfortable king size beds, a writing desk, a refreshment station, back tent, ensuite bathroom with a separate toilet and rainfall shower, the tents are reached by long raised walk ways
