About the Lodge
Katara Lodge is a perfect description of luxury along the great rift valley escarpment presenting uninterrupted views of the Lake Edwad and a backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains commonly referred to as “the mountains of the moon” it is situated in the queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda’s best and second largest destination, the angelic lodge is ideal to start your journey to explore the Park and several activities, the materials used to build the lodge are sourced from the community and is run mostly on solar power, the waters of the charming pool are salty which reduces a rely on chemicals.
Location
The lodge is located in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the western part of Uganda and is 20 20-minute drive away from the main entrance gate of the conservation area. It can be accessed by road or air from the Entebbe International Airport.
Rooms
Katara Lodge has eight spacious, intimate luxury rooms overlooking the plain savannah grasslands. These can be arranged as 7 of the cottages can be arranged as singles, doubles, or twin rooms. Within these are 1 family cottage that sleeps up to 4 people, all cottages run both hot and cold water in the showers, equipped with toiletries for guest use.
