Isunga Lodge is an angelic facility overlooking the Kibale Forest National Park, the conservation area is home to 13 primate species and is popular for the chimpanzee, other primates that can be seen in this location include vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys to mention a few, Isunga boasts a unique position right outside the park area and amidst crater lakes, it is perfect to begin exploring the region, with its stylish design it is the great location to begin your gorilla trekking experience. The wonderful facility is run by owners Gerry and Karen, together with friendly staff, who create memorable experiences.
Location
Isunga Lodge is located in Kibale Forest National Park. It can be accessed by road from Entebbe. It takes approximately 5-6 hours’ drive to the conservation area; alternatively, charter or scheduled flights can be arranged to Kasese airstrip.
Rooms
The Lodge features 8 stylish simple cottages well spread around the privately owned area, it feels more like you are the only ones here, these command view of the park from the private terrace, all cottages have charging facilities, mosquito nets, flush toilets, ensuite bathrooms running both hot and cold water, the family cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 pax with 2 separate bathrooms and a sitting room.
