Fort Murchison

Fort Murchison is an angelic facility in the northern part of Murchison falls National park, it offers comfortable accommodation to travelers ranging in mid and budget range set along the eastern banks of the flowing Albert Nile, it is a well maintained property revoking the idea of isolated posts of legendary explorers that came to discover the source of the Nile, the massive tower and colored walls depict a Swahili style, the very comfortable accommodation is offered in rooms or comfortable tents. The main Lodge area features a restaurant and bar area serving mouth-watering meals and drinks to travelers. A stay here is a great beginning point to explore the park.

Location

The amazing Lodge is located along the northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park in the AswaL olim Game Reserve in Pakwach. It can be reached by road from Entebbe; it takes approximately 5-6 hours via the Kampala-Gulu highway. Charter or scheduled flights can be arranged at the Pakuba of Bugungu airstrip.

Rooms

Fort Murchison comprises 12 en-suite units, comprising spacious bathrooms, showers running both hot and cold water, a desk, and a private balcony commanding views of the park area and game reserve. Besides these main rooms, the lodge offers non-self-contained tents, which are furnished with single beds and mosquito nets. All tents are grass thatched with a private terrace overlooking the Savanah.
