About the Lodge
Elewan Tortlis Camp is nestled in Amboseli National Park under the shadow of the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro. The conservation area is popular for its high population of African elephants and is an ideal location to spot the Big Five of the African wilderness! The 5-star facility is named after the flat-topped umbrella-topped tree, Acacia Tortilis, woodland, and was one of the first eco-lodges of its size accommodation at the camp is highly comfortable, stylish, and has a homey feel with king-size beds and elegant ensuite bathrooms. The main Lodge area comprises a bar and dining area that has been built from local material.
Location
The luxury camp is located in the heart of Amboseli National Park, about 4 4-hour drive from Nairobi. The camp can be accesed by air from Wilson International Airport, about a 30-minute flight to the airstrip.
Rooms
Elewani Tortilis Camp boasts 16 rooms, each of which has an amazing view of the mountain Kilimanjaro. Each makuti-covered tent consists of a main bedroom with twin or double beds, an ensuite bathroom, complimentary toiletries, a spacious veranda, and all of the tents can fit an extra bed for children under the age of 16 years.
