About the lodge
Crater Safari Lodge is a beautiful luxury facility well placed overlooking the second largest crater lake, known as Nyinaulitwa in Uganda. The views of the surrounding community from the lodge are amazing to experience. Close to the lodge is one of the few remaining rainforests of Uganda, the Kibale Forest National Park, home to chimpanzee and 12 other primate species, the main area of the property is surrounded by cultivated gardens combining a restaurant, bar and lounge under a high thatched roof, a crystal-clear blue pool lies off to one side of the lodge as well as a curio shop.
Location
Crater Safari Lodge is located in western Uganda in Kibale Forest National Park. The quickest way to get here is by air; flights can be arranged from Entebbe International Airport, connecting to the Kasese airstrip or a ground transfer, approximately a 6-hour drive.
Rooms
The lodge boasts nine cottages, which include family rooms that can take up to a maximum of 4 pax. The cottages are designed and styled to fit in the environment within which they are placed. 5 of the cottages straddle the rim of the crater with lovely L-shaped verandas. The rooms can be configured into double or Twin rooms.
