Chimpanzee Forest Guest house is one of the best accommodation midrange facilities in Kibale Forest National Park, it was formerly a residence of the British district commissioner in the 1950’s, renovated in 2003 and transformed into a guest house which offers comfortable accommodation to travelers to the Kibale Forest National Park a known destination of several primates, the Lodge feels like a take back in the past featuring a unique collection of colonial African Literature and architectural designs, the restaurant and bar offers mouth dropping meals to travelers and can unwind a long day of chimpanzee tracking at the cozy lounge area.
Location
The Lodge is located near the Kibale Forest National Park, approximately a 5–6-hour drive from the Entebbe International Airport. Charter or scheduled flights can be arranged into the Kasese airstrip, and thereafter a 1 and a half drive to the Lodge.
Rooms
Chimpanzee Guest House comprises 7 spacious cottages, which are beautifully furnished self-contained rooms overlooking the Kibale Forest and surrounding tea plantations. All rooms feature ensuite bathrooms running both hot and cold water, television, flat screen, mosquito nets, large beds, complimentary toiletries, tea, and coffee-making facilities. Besides the rooms, visitors also have the chance to camp at the grassy site away from the house.
