About the Lodge

Zanzibar retreat is a beautiful, luxurious facility straddling the pristine beach front of the northeast coast of Tanzania in Matemwe, along one of its best-loved beaches of Unguja. The intimate luxury hotel is located in the most remote corner of Zanzibar, enjoying exclusivity, simplicity, and an extremely private experience in the well-maintained facility. The hotel is built in an Arabian style, with benches and attention to detail, depicting the authentic experience and matching modernity. The dining happens outside in a thatched restaurant serving mouth-dropping meals, including a menu serving seafood. The large, inviting pool is cozy in style, as well as hammocks for relaxation in the gardens.

Location

The Lodge is located along the Unguja beach in Zanzibar, approximately an hour’s flight from Dara es Salaam.

Rooms

Zanzibar retreat comprises 12 intimate double rooms decorated in a classic luxurious style. They feature dark wood furniture dressed in white linen, commanding views of the ocean. The rooms have the possibility of adding 1 extra bed, two rooms have their own private balconies overlooking the sea, and the other rooms have access to a large wooden veranda with outdoor furniture.
