About the Lodge
Sand River Lodge is an angelic luxury facility straddling the Sand River in the Masai Mara National Park, closer to the country’s border with Tanzania. The conservation area is popular for its large number of animal species. The great wildebeest migration is a magical experience that can only be witnessed while in the Mara. The camp sits along the migration routing, thousands of wildebeests and other antelopes, and zebras make their way through the crocodile-infested river annually. The Lodge gives a perfect feeling of what life was like in the 1920s with a duplicate; it is ideal for travelers seeking adventure, comfort, and relaxation.
Location
The 5 Star facility sits along the migration routing towards the River Mara in Masai Mara National Park. It can be accessed by road through the Great East African Rift Valley region for approximately a 5-6-hour drive and a 45-minute flight to Wilson International Airport to the Keekorok airstrip.
Rooms
Sand River Masai Mara is placed with 16 tented accommodation facilities, including 1 family tent; the exclusive permanent tented camps reflect the 1920s. These are divided into 2 separate but adjoining campsites, each of which presents its own dining space and public area. Of the rooms provide a calm atmosphere and perfectly blend in with the environment within which they are placed.
