About the Lodge
Rhino River Camp is nestled on 60 acres of privately owned wilderness on the edge of the Meru National Park. The conservation area is one of the best places in Kenya to spot the big five of the African wilderness (Lions, elephants, Rhinos, buffalo, and leopards). It is at this camp that the Legend of Elsa the Lioness began. The luxury camp is the perfect place to begin your adventure in Meru National Park. The cottages have been built in caramel canvas and greenwood raised on platforms overlooking the Kindani river, they pride themselves on offering the best quiet and exclusive safari experience.
Location
The Camp is located along the edge of Meru National Park. It takes approximately 7 hours to drive from Nairobi to the conservation area. Flights can be arranged from Wilson International Airport for 1 and a half hours to the destination
Rooms
Rhino River Camp is designed with 6 cottages linked with paths through the grounds, the canvas tents raised on wooden decks overlooking the river and the surrounding environment filled with palm and tamarind trees inside in the wooden rooms are double or twin beds, writing table, chair, ensuite bathroom running both cold and warm water, double wash basin, tea and coffee making facilities.
