About the Lodge

Ngorongoro Crater Edge is beautifully placed among the acacia trees on the northeastern side of the Ngorongoro Crater rim. The conservation area is one of the most iconic natural wonders, filled with life. It is one of the best places in the country to spot the big five of the African wildernesses (Lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and Rhinos). The crater is said to have been higher than Mount Kilimanjaro. Following the eruption, it sank to a depth of 600 meters. The 5-star facility is a great base to start your exploration of the crater; it boasts an extraordinary service.it was designed by South Africa’s Les Harbottle. The vision of the lodge was to create and preserve the natural surroundings.

Location

The Lodge is located at the heart of the Ngorongoro conservation, approximately a 3-4-hour drive from Arusha. The lodge can also be accessed by flight to the nearest airstrip in Lake Manyara and, thereafter, a 90-minute ground transfer.

Rooms

Ngorongoro Crater Edge comprises individual, standalone suites that are perched on stilts above the African landscape. These embrace the surrounding wildlife features and are placed with giant beds dressed in white linens, a spacious lounge area, 2 armchairs, a private balcony overlooking the forest, complimentary toiletries, mosquito nets, ensuite bathrooms running both hot and cold water, and flush toilets
