About the Lodge
Kyaninga Lodge is 5-star facility perched at the rim of an ancient crater Kyaninga, it offers spectacular views of the Mountains of the moon at the back drop, the pleasant climate of the region, vast amazing tea plantations and volcanic crater lake, makes it one of the most sought-after lodges in western Uganda, it was built by an English man Steve Williams with a commitment of thousands of logs to create the perfect look of the African set up. It is placed within proximity to 4 of Uganda’s unique national parks- Kibale Forest, Semuliki National Park, Rwenzori, and Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Location
Kyaninga Lodge is located in Fort Portal in the western part of Uganda. Upon reaching Fort Portal town, turn northeast onto the Kijura road at Mpange Bridge, approximately 2km from town along the Kampala Road. From Entebbe, it takes about 5 hours to drive to the destination. The lodge can also be accessed by air to the nearest airstrip, Kasese airstrip.
Rooms
The Lodge boasts nine beautifully spacious thatched cabins which feature a private deck, massive beds with soft linen, a shower running both cold and warm water, they all overlook the Kyaninga crater and are well spaced to ensure privacy, and they all have double or twin beds. All materials used to build are sourced from the community to blend with the environment.
