About the Lodge
Elewana Elsa’s Kopje Meru Lodge is an intimate and beautifully styled facility sculpted into the Mughwango hill above George Adamson’s original camp where he raised orphaned lions, the park is a thrilling rhino sanctuary home to a variety of animal species including the big five of the African wilderness, it is famous for elephant herds, Rhinos, hippos, lions, and birds, while at the Lodge guests enjoy the angelic vast expanse of Elas’s Kopje, the beautiful Lodge was named after the lioness that made was made famous by George and Joy Adams biographical book and film, “Born Free” the region remains one of the most captivating places of East Africa.
Location
The Lodge is located in Meru National Park, one of the best destinations in Kenya. It takes approximately 7 hours to drive from Nairobi city, and about 1h30 minutes from the Wilson International airport to Mughwango Airstrip or directly to the Helipad.

Elewana features 6 spacious cottage suites that include 4 doubles and 2 twins, 1 family cottage, 1 private house, 3 honeymoon suites of which comprise of ensuite bathroom with running hot and cold water, balcony/desk, electrical outlets, mosquito nets, dressing gowns, Lounge Area, outside shower, pure cotton linen, and a private pool/Jacuzzi, these have been built to perfectly fit within the environment
